PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF REFERRAL PERIOD FOR GT SERVICES

Lazbuddie ISD will be accepting referrals for students who may need Gifted/Talented Services for the 2025-2026 school year. This program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level not normally served in the regular classroom. Services are provided only upon identification of education needs of the student. Anyone wishing to refer a student attending Lazbuddie ISD in first through twelfth grade this school year, is asked to go by the campus office and request a copy of the referral form. Those unable to go by the school should call the school office to request a form be sent to them. There will be an open referral period from September 23, 2025 through October 14, 2025, where students can be referred for GT. Referrals will not be accepted after this deadline. Once testing is complete, parents will receive a letter that states whether the student does or does not qualify for GT services.

ANUNCIO PÚBLICO DEL PERIODO DE REFERENCIAS PARA LOS SERVICIOS GT

Lazbuddie ISD aceptará referencias de estudiantes que puedan necesitar Servicios para Estudiantes Dotados y Talentosos (GT, por sus siglas en inglés) para el año escolar 2025-2026. Este programa está diseñado para estudiantes que demuestran habilidades intelectuales y de pensamiento creativo a un nivel extraordinario que normalmente no se atiende en el aula regular. Los servicios se proporcionan únicamente después de identificar las necesidades educativas del estudiante.

Cualquier persona que desee referir a un estudiante que asista a Lazbuddie ISD, desde primer hasta duodécimo grado en este año escolar, debe acudir a la oficina del plantel y solicitar una copia del formulario de referencia. Aquellos que no puedan acudir a la escuela deben llamar a la oficina para solicitar que se les envíe un formulario. Habrá un periodo abierto de referencias desde el 23 de septiembre de 2025 hasta el 14 de octubre de 2025, durante el cual se podrán referir estudiantes para el programa GT. No se aceptarán referencias después de esta fecha límite. Una vez que se completen las evaluaciones, los padres recibirán una carta indicando si el estudiante califica o no para recibir servicios GT.
