Read the Strategic Plan

Lazbuddie ISD collaborated with the Region 16 ESC team as of the Texas Strategic Leadership Pilot to create an enhanced Strategic Plan, setting the direction for the district’s upcoming projects and objectives. The 2024-2025 strategic framework is designed to shape district initiatives for the next 3-5 years and is conceived as a dynamic and adaptable document. This strategy will be consistently put into action, assessed, and refined to meet the changing needs of students, faculty, and the broader community. Crafted through extensive input from stakeholders, a comprehensive analysis of the district’s landscape, and with the oversight of a committed district steering committee, the plan embodies a strong foundation anchored in varied perspectives and insights.

Lazbuddie ISD engaged in an in-depth Texas Strategic Leadership process for the 2023-2024 academic year, with the ambition to lead in delivering exemplary education to its students. The process began with a specialized planning session to tailor the strategy to the distinct needs of Lazbuddie ISD. Critical stake holders, including the superintendent, steering committee, board of trustees, and internal teams, were actively involved in shaping the district’s strategic direction.

A thorough analysis of the district’s current landscape was conducted to evaluate its status, followed by a detailed data assessment to identify strengths, areas needing improvement, and potential challenges. This led to the formation of a clear vision, mission and targeted student experience to guide upcoming initiatives. Valuable feedback from both internal and external stakeholders was collected through surveys, direct engagements, and participation in feedback committees, ensuring a holistic grasp of community needs and aspirations. Based on the data insights, strategic priorities were set, and initiatives were aligned with these priorities.

Using the Effective District Framework as a foundational guide, the final step in this process was the establishment of specific, measurable goals, including student outcome targets, resulting in the finalization of a 5-year strategic plan. This plan serves as a roadmap for resource allocation and the achievement of the overarching goal of educational excellence. Through this strategic approach, Lazbuddie ISD aims to continue to being a frontrunner in delivering exceptional educational experiences.
